* In a 4/12/10 blog piece labeled “More Than I Could Chew,” I described my attempt to eat a 48oz burger, featuring 10 slices of cheese and 12 slices of bacon, inside the Tequila Bar at Bally’s Las Vegas. I failed that day, only finishing two-thirds, but was congratulated by patrons and management as the closest competitor yet.
* In my trip back in late November, not only did I see the pictures of the two mountainous half-men-half-bears that finished the thing, I saw that Ballys had constructed a Wall of Shame for those that fell short.
* So the next time you’re there, just imagine a Polaroid of me hanging there, showing me bloated, sweaty, nearly victorious, and about to bet on a Golden State Warriors game. But definitely NOT full of shame. At least not more shame than usual.
